The workshop
BOBO3DPRINT is a 3D printing workshop in Genoa, Italy. We print plastic objects layer by layer: catalogue products and custom jobs from a file, a broken part or an idea.

The materials
The ones we usually print, with what you need to know before choosing. In the quote you choose them one by one.
| Material | When it makes sense | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Standard PLA | The everyday material: it costs little, prints cleanly and suits decorative objects, gadgets, board game pieces and prototypes. | It softens above 55-60 °C: in a car in the sun it deforms. |
| PLA+ (tougher) | PLA with additives that takes knocks better, suited to pieces handled every day. | It is still PLA: above 55 °C it softens. The toughness varies a little from spool to spool. |
| Matte PLA | A matte finish that hides the layer lines: for miniatures, vases and display pieces. | The bond between layers is a little weaker than standard PLA. |
| Silk PLA | A glossy, pearly finish with a metallic look, for figurines, trophies and decorations. | More brittle than standard PLA: better for decoration than for parts under load. |
| Translucent PLA | A frosted glass effect that lets light through, for lampshades, lanterns and objects with LEDs. | It stays frosted, like etched glass. The result changes with the wall thickness. |
| Fluorescent PLA (neon) | Very bright fluorescent colours for cosplay, signs and objects that need to stand out. | The exact neon shade varies from spool to spool. It softens above 60 °C. |
| Marble effect PLA | The look of marble or granite, for vases, model bases and desk objects. | The veining changes from piece to piece. |
| Metal effect PLA | Colours with metallic sheen (iron grey, copper, gold) for furnishings and showpieces. | The effect is only visual: it contains no metal, and weight and behaviour are those of PLA. |
| PETG | Tougher and more heat resistant than PLA, stable with water and UV light: suited to functional parts, containers and outdoor use. | More flexible and less stiff than PLA. It softens above 70 °C. |
| High-speed PETG (HF) | PETG optimised to print faster, with an even matte finish, for runs of functional parts. | Even matte finish. It softens above 70 °C. |
| Translucent PETG | PETG that lets light through, for lids, diffusers and objects with LEDs that must resist water. | The transparency changes with the thickness and the infill. |
| Flexible TPU 95A | Abrasion-resistant rubber for cases, bumpers, non-slip feet, seals and straps. | It prints slowly, so the time weighs on the price. In several colours only on a dedicated machine. |
| ASA (for outdoors) | Like ABS but it withstands sun and rain without yellowing, for outdoor objects, mounts and signs. | It shrinks on large or very solid parts. Printed on an enclosed machine. |

Frequently asked questions
How long before my order ships?
Catalogue products are printed to order: usually 3-5 working days before shipping. The exact time is written on each product page.
Can I choose the colour?
Yes. For catalogue products, write the colours you would like in the field at checkout: if one is not available, we tell you before printing. For a part from your own file, write it in the notes of the quote.
How does the quote from my file work?
You upload an STL or 3MF file. The calculation happens in your browser and the file is not sent until you press "Richiedi conferma" (ask for confirmation). The price you see is an estimate: we confirm it, usually within one working day.
Does my file stay private?
Yes. We keep it for 30 days at most, unless you order, and we delete it on request. We do not use it for anything else.
What do you not print?
Weapons or weapon parts, copies of protected products, files you do not hold the rights to, parts a person's safety depends on, and objects that touch food.
How strong is a printed part?
It depends on the material, the thickness and the infill. For a demanding use, we choose the right combination with you, but we do not promise exact loads.
Do you ship abroad?
Yes, to every country in the European Union. Shipping costs 5 € more than in Italy and is never free. Outside the European Union not for now: if you need it, write to us.
Do you work for businesses?
Yes: custom parts, prototypes and small runs. Use the quote or message us on WhatsApp.
